Dual dump is always a better design. (Corky Bell agrees with me... ok I agree with him ). In fact, the most efficient design is to have the wastegate dump to atmosphere and never return to the main exhaust... which is of course not CARB legal

I've heard a car with a complete Vishnu Signature Series turbo back exhaust (divorced wastegate pipe, high-flow cat in downpipe, 3" stainless) and it isn't that loud, IMO. There are a number of exhausts on the market that are louder but may not make as much power. No, I don't think anyone has a comparison dyno chart but Vishnu did extensive testing to come up with a no-holds barred street exhaust system. It's a little pricey, though, but what I would get if I had the bucks. The downpipe high-flow cat is optional but recommended to quiet things down to a nice level.
