I'd like to get a clue on what's going on
I threw a CEL about a week ago and took it to Vishnu to get it pulled. When they pulled it, it basically was a high EGT temp. Vishnu said that it was just the probe not used to a aftermarket high-flow up pipe, and that it was nothing wrong. I've talked to a few other resources and they have said that a high EGT could be that I'm running lean.
For the mods i have, i have a reflash, a VF-35, injectors, fuel pump, MRT turbo back. I bought this car used, and that's what he listed.
Now, I've never really had any experiances with vishnu before, but I have heard some very mixed reviews about them. So I'd like to know if that really is a possibility of the up pipe just running hotter than stock or if it is my exhaust and i am running lean. Right now, they've just disconnected the probe and put a resistor in to get rid of the CEL.
cliff notes: Threw a CEL saying high egt temp in up pipe. Vishnu says nothing wrong. I am worrying about running lean. Should I worry?
TIA

Well to be certain you could always look at the o2 sensor (the first one) to see if your A/F ratio is too lean.
Also i'd like to know if you have any special coatings that could keep the heat up in the up pipe like a ceramic coated up pipe and headers for example.
