What code did it throw?
Do you have any aftermarket intake or filter?
Have you done/changed anything since you got the code pulled? Why do you need a new gasket?

That ought to get us started....

check the cable to the maf sensor, maybe it backed off somehow? if its not that, check to see if the pin has been tugged out of the connector.

check the hoses under the intercooler sometimes they can come of and is you car able to idle or you get the putt putt sound cheers

my car did the same thing after an up/downpipe install...check engine light came on blinking and i had the code pulled...i forgot the code but it was misfire in cylinders 1 and 3...next day, my car ran fine...don't know what caused it
