Exclamation Help!

I installed an STi TMIC myself on my WRX and it was pulling hard and then all of a sudden it jolted and got something similar to turbo lag and that's when an check engine light came on! Does anyone know what happened? I'm afraid I messed something up...

Boost leak. One of the connecting sleeves has most likely come loose.

The "Y" pipe hose is not completely flush but on there tight... I guess it's that then. I disconnected the battery and the check engine light is off now, but I assume its just going to happen again unless i fix it...

Thanks for responding

Probably isn't the y pipe. It's probably the elbow on the front.

Okay, so the "Y" IC hose was not completely flush on my turbo so I put it on better and tightened it down... sure hope that works!

Which elbow are you referring to? The one next to the throttle body, or one of those black ones? Thanks Johnthebrit for the advice

I'm guessing this one. It may have come off underneath. It's hard to see without inspection.

Crap! It happened again. I triple checked the hoses they are all tight and snug. I must need a tune or something...

Big thanks to J-money in San Jose for finding the solution to my problem! I wouldn't have noticed that the waste gate tubing was falling apart and disconnected. Now I can feel the boost again
