GC8 engine swap Question

Well, to answer your question regarding fitment, Yes it will fit physically, but there is a lot more to it than that. The R180 rear end would require some work or you could just use the R160. Now the real work begins with the wiring. Do you have any experience with automotive wiring or understand wiring schematics? This isn't just a plug and play affair. Take it from me, I've done over 15 USDM WRX Conversions. If you have any more questions let me know.

Sorry, it isn't that easy. If it were, I wouldn't have much business
The wiring alone takes about 20 hrs and that's for me without using shematics or any kind of labeling. After doing as many as I have, I don't need to do what's required if you're doing your first one. As for just throwing in the R180, it doesn't work that way. If it did, I and counless others would have them. For one the R180 is wider, WRX axles are also wider than all other imprezas. And secondly, the splines are different on the STi, you would also need to swap in the rear hubs along with the Brembo's. Then, you run into the problem of the axles being a little long. So, this is a bigger project than you think.
Honestly, from the questions you are asking, you have no idea what it takes to do GC8/WRX Conversion. I suggest you do some research on the forums and check out our website for more info. www.i-speedusa.com
