Fuel Leak?
The past few days I have been smelling what seems to be fuel every time I turn on the heater. It is very pronounced when I turn on the fan (usually on setting 1 or 2), open the vents to let the cool air outside in, and when I am at a complete stop. My guess is that the fan is funneling the scent of fuel inside the cabin. Once while driving, I shut off the fan but left the vent open and the smell seemed to go away.
My question is, could this be a sign of a possible fuel leak? I have been checking underneath the car and I don't notice any fuel leaking. My fuel gauge looks normal and my gas mileage is about the same. Or could it be that I'm running rich? I don't have an A/F controller so I really have no way of checking unless I take it to a dealer or a shop. Or is it nothing to worry about?
Any help would be appreciated.
Here are my engine mods (if it helps)
'02 WRX
APS SR30 Turbo
APS Dual Entry TMIC
APS BOV
APS CAI
APS Turbo Back Exhaust
Unichip
Thanks guys

Yes there have been some people with fuel leaks. The leak is under the MAP sensor. There is a fuel line that runs under that and may need the clamp tightened. Its a ***** to see and or tighten. Try to do a search for fuel leak and there was a post that has pics of where it is located on a 2002 WRX (usa model)
