Frame Cutting

Had some work done to my girl and E85 tuned yesterday by EQ (can't say enough good things about them) but now I have an issue.

My UEL header is rubbing, or will rub, on the frame. Technically 2 sections of the header isn't making contact with the frame but when I'm driving I know they do. The distance beween the 2 sections of the header and the frame is VERY minimal, you could slide a piece of paper in between and that's about it.

I can definitely feel the vibration coming from the header and the frame when I'm decelerating (now that Ed mentions it, I can hear it too) and sometimes when I turn or go from a standstill in 1st, the car vibrates (most likely header contacting frame).

I want to know is there any special steps to cutting a piece out of the frame so the header doesn't rub? I read on iwsti and somewhere else that you have cut a SPECIFIC amount off the frame, not just a big chunk and some detailed steps.

What do you guys think?

Thanks!

Ya think it would be more efficient if I just cut a piece off rather than taking the whole frame off or you think I should just find a shop that could take it off for me?

TiTek UEL header/uppipe. Yeah, nothing big but like I said in the previous post, I can see two sections of the headers where it makes contact with the frame. What you doing there?

dont cut your frame. upgrade your motor mounts. upgraded motor mounts are stiffer then the stock ones; this will prevent the motor from moving while you drive so the uel header will not hit your frame and crack
