Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

Final Decision

Ah what it would be like to have a ton of money to spend! I am envious!

Good luck with the car!

Your engine management setup sucks. And our cars use direct coil ignition. No MSD system will work. And why do you want a Bee*R misfiring system? Sounds like you read alot of Super Street.

I ran piggybacks too for a while, but I got tired of the stock ECU learning around the settings within days. I mean, if you want to reset your battery every week then that's cool. But FYI, once you boost past 17PSI or so with the stock ECU you'll trigger a CEL, and end up losing power. If you really want to take full advantage of that VF22, you'll need either a reflash or a standalone. Sounds like you got some money, so why not just get a custom programmed Motec?

Ecu...

For now I'm going to use piggy back systems with my ECU. In the near future, I'm definitely getting the HKS F-con V-pro Standalone Fuel System once I replace the internals of the engine....

F-Con V won't work with the US-spec wiring and sensors. I wanted the Mines VX-ROM for my car, but JDM standalones don't work on our cars.

I spoke to an HKS spokesperson and he said that a USDM Spec F-con is in the works right now. Besides that, I'm gonna need a good tuning shop in the greater NJ area to tune my car...
