Extreme Fuel cut problem

Im not sure what the hell is going on. My mods are RSR Exmag TBE with dp; and AEM CAI. Anyways after they were installed the only thing i did was reset the ECU, i dont have any of those custom maps or anything so the ecu is default or whatever. I went out to the track out here and did a run, i got up to about 120mph and the engine cut out, after a few more runs i found out i also couldnt go above 80mph in 5th gear neither, so basically my **** is totally ****ed. before these mods i could go over 140mph no problem so i have no clue what i should do. oh yea and when it cut out the first time the CEL came on. I reseted the ecu again and drove around normal and it doesnt come on, but it did again as soon as i hit around 120mph. Would having a boost controller help me here at all or any other mods out there?

First off learn to search and read the FAQ's.This would have kept you from buying the worthless intake that is no doubt screwing up your MAF signal and running a TBE with no EM.You are overboosting(in the ECU's eyes) do to less exhaust restriction causing the fuel cut.Be proactive, not reactive or you will break your toy.

I would look more for a broken vac line around your wastegate or wastegate control solenoid. You car is overboosting and killing the fuel off. As for your CAI I am running an Injen set up and never had an overboost condition.I am also running an uppipe down pipe and Cat back, GPmoto intercooler pipes and OBX turbo inlet pipe. Lots of people in here warn against CAIs, if I read most of the posts here I might have stayed away from the CAI but I bought it before I found this site. Anyhow I have been running my Injen set up since 2002 when the car was almost new and now have 110,000 miles on it and have had no problems. Look for a broken vac line!!
