EJ20T Storage Question
I'm going to store my car, 9 months at a time. Should I replace the engine oil or drain it out and leave it empty? And are there any other suggestions for storage, besides filling the tank with gas?
Thanks!
Thanks!

i'd leave the oil in there (not to knowledge able about oil getting "stale"). But when you finally restart, do the trick that gets the oil into the turbo without actually spinning the turbo too much. This is the only thing that comes to mind.... unfortunately I cannot remember how its done, but I just read about it on NASIOC or ScoobyMods when looking up turbo install tips. The point being, a new turbo has no oil and you don't want to spin it w/o lube. This, I'd guess, could be a similar sitatuation.
OK, not to much help here... but its the idea and the thought that counts

When my friends buy their JDM motors, they come with used oil inside them. Maybe I should do the same. Does stationary oil do anything to the metel?

my car is currently in storage my only suggestion is to fill up the tank and make sure you use a gasonline stabilizer (purchase at any automotive store) and mix with your gas. also if you can store your vehicle on jacks that would be ideal because this will prevent flat spots on your tires. lucky for me the company the army contracted starts my car once every week or two to move it around and to get the engine moving. the only thing that scares me is what they might be doing to my car. well i guess thats why they have insurance......goodluck

not to sure....................and if it did i think its cheaper to buy bushings than to buy set of tires especially if you have 18in rims

From: Are you too one of the few still living the past? Well I can change that! With a simple wicket. Yes, my friend, a wicket. PM for details.
Car Info: No car right now....sob.
I would also hook up a trickle charger to help prolonged battery life.
