Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

EJ20T Into 98 Legacy Outback (EJ25, i think)

This is really similar to an ej20 swap into a 2.5 rs isn't it? I'm thinking of saving up for this and I'm curious about the ltitle details and how much everything would cost. Any input would be greatly appreciated. And I'm sure ill have plently of follow up questions. TIA!

Edit: Thanks to whitelegacy98 for the suggestion and
how hard would it be to swap an STi tranny in place of the auto thats now in there?

So your thinking of JDM STi engine? The wiring would be hell and a half but besides that it would be great. Also, if you are wanting the 6-speed from the V7+ i think that would be a tougher swap though i dont know.
Cheers

USDM STi would be a lot easieer and cheaper, no? I was thinking of that. And also the USDM 6 Speed.

Your still going to have a ***** of a time wiring it. Also, if it is like the RS, I hear putting the 6-speed in is not as easy as it sounds ( at least w/ the DCCD)

Sounds like a tough swap, but it's a great idea! If you can go with this it would be really sweet and original. Basically what I'm saying is that I don't have much to contribute to this post except for saying that it's a good idea lol
