Question ECU' s and check engine lights

hey..... just quick question

I have recently put on an HKS Carbon Ti With Vishnue up pipe and divorced down pipe. The problem i seem to be getting in that my check engine light won't go away.

I've been recommended to get an o2 simulator or new ECU

Will those work? I need your opinoins ...

thanks a lot ...

The CEL you are getting is most likely the o2 sensor code, because the catalytic converters are not there in the downpipe. You're reading a higher exhaust gas temperature therefore throwing the CEL. You can get a resistor fix or get a mechanical fix where you just have this bolt looking thing and you screw that into the bung where the o2 sensor goes and then you screw in the o2 sensor. This works also, if you would like one made, I can make you one for a good price. pm me you're interested.

He meant the 02 sensor.

Do you have a cat? If not then you are getting a cat ineff code.

You def. do not need a new ECU.
