check engine lights
my car has no cats on it and everyonce in a while while driving on the highway the CEL comes on. is this because of having no cats and the o2 sensor getting too hot? is there a fix? could i just tie up the o2 sensors under the car? (not the upstream 1 the downstreams)

The computer is looking for differentiation in readings between the two sensors , this is how it knows if the cats are working or not. If your car has no cats then you will have that light. We have not seen a real fix for this problem yet. We have tried several diferent "CEL Fix' methods, all have failed. If the light is annoying we have wired in a switch to turn the light off. Get a pin-out and find the wire that runs the light and install a toggle switch to turn the light off.(this turns the light off completely)

I used to get a cat inefficency code when my car only had the cat in the down pipe
I found that if I did not Accelerate below 2k in the upper gears i would not get the light. After one year now the light never comes on. The ecu is very smart.
