DIY Intercooler Sprayer
So I was given this:
It's a fuel rail from an old Porsche that my friend is turning into a coffee table.
Also, I had access to a parts Miata with a windshield washer reservior, tubing, and pump that no one was going to use (parts car for a race shop)
So I pulled this:
I'm sure you can see where this is going....
I made the injector hookups into nozzles and clamped the end shut:
Then I mounted it to the rubber IC Shroud by cutting small slits and popping the nozzles in:
I used some plastic tubing and ran it from the RR of the trunk, over the diff mount, along the left frame rail, and up into the engine bay near the brake master cyl. (I was avoiding the exhaust)
Anyway, it definitely sprays when hooked up to a battery, I don't have a switch hooked up yet but it'll come soon. Not sure if it'll actually increase power or anything but I just thought it would be cool to do. Cost me $0 so I'm not complaining.
I have a JDM STi scoop coming, I'm going to make a splitter out of fiberglass so I can integrate the sprayer a bit better than it is now.
