I don't belive that mod is worth that much money. A whole Jun valve train can be had for less than that. I'd hit them up, get their cams too and rip-an 8-8500rpm redline would be lovely providing you have the mods to make such a trip worth while. What are your goals with the car? Are you doing cams right now?

don't raise red line without something

I have not used them but have heard from several sources that it can be very expensive to run higher rpms with out undershim system.

The stock configuration can spit a shim if you valve float it. When it tosses the shim out, it usually wrecks lots of expensive stuff when the loose shim gets wedged some place it does not belong.

Just make sure the vendor certifies the new valve train will not have that problem at the rpm you want to run.

http://www.junauto.co.jp/processing/ej20/

Jun lists these parts as necessary for use w/ their cams:

Change processing into inner shim type
Tappet shim clearance adjusting
Head parts set up
SUBARU STOCK PARTS

But the part numbers are not listed anywhere I could find them on the web. Call your prefered Jun vendor. That Cobb kit is way over priced for what it is IMO. They sell Ferrera valves for 1g for Gods sake. 16 Valves man!

There are vendors here that can hook you up man. Worse case, try Alex(I might try him first even), If there's a buck to be made best believe he'll take up the cause. I mean that in the highest respect, from hustler to hustler .
