boost creep?

wtf is it? Is it only on the helix system that it happens because it was in a thread about it, or is it all systems?

Boost creep or boost spiking is when air cannot exit the wastegate quick enough, causing the turbo to momentarily hit a higher boost level than it should. This is dangerous because it can cause excess wear and tear on your turbo due to achieving boost levels outside of the turbo's limits.

It mostly occurs when you use any bellmouth or divorced downpipe on 2.5L engine's.. wastegate porting or some engine management usually clears it up like an Accessport or UTEC.
