Boost

I know that everyone says that you can safely run 16psi on a stock wrx. Why is this? If i were to upgrade my fuel injectors, fuel pump, and fuel management system could i run say 20psi on my wrx? Or do they say only 16psi because of the internals?

If you upgrade the fuel system, and get it tuned you shouldnt have too much of a problem running more boost. The problem occurs when somebody increases boost but does not change anything else to accomadate it.

All I can say about that is OUCH!!

But yeah once you get over 15psi the turbo will not be that efficient, yes you will be make more power with the increase of psi but not as much as you would be with a bigger turbo.
