ive had my rex for about a month now and im ready for mods. i was wondering what uppipe would you guys suggest? im sort of on a tight budget so i dont want to spend more money just for a name, but if its of superior quality thats a different story.
all uppipes are good quality, and will do about the same. it all really depends on the install. if you install it properly, then all is well, but if there are leaks, you wont get the full effect of the uppipe.
i havethe gruppe-s uppipe and it works fine. low price and good quality. cant go wrong with that.

if you live in a cold area I'd strongly recomend one with a flex pipe...
I have a few friends up here in NH and they've had problems with flexless uppipes in the cold weather because it goes from freezing to boiling in the wintertime.
I dont have one yet but I'll be getting the APS, it's fairly reasonably priced compaired to the other flex up-pipes

Last week my friend who has a WRX installed a header he bought on some internet site for $450. The header is a work of art! It is some of the best welding and flanges I have ever seen. We couldn't believe the price, so, we searched and found this same header selling for over a thousand. I highly recommend saving a bit longer and buying this. It made a world of difference than his car with just an up-pipe. I'll find the site if anyone is interested.

The site is www.quantum-racing.com the header is the GTS 4-1 about 3/4 of the way down the exhaust page in the online store. It is actually 475. I can tell you it made a world of difference over a catless up-pipe (20-35 hp depending on boost). Plus it spools so much nicer. Plus it is a work of art. The only downside to it that I see is that instead of the wrx's sounding a little like a pissed off VW bug now it sounds like one. It sounds very raspy and maybe you like that.
