If you had a kink I don't think it would be reading as well as you have described. It's 8-9 psi in all gears?

its has a big kink and the gauge its self. like a complete 90deg pinch at the gauge, ill try that first.

Well, it looks like you've found your problem. The kinking hose is 90% of my motivation to switch to an electrical boost gauge.

Back in my mechanical days I ended up wrapping the tube with tape from the back of the gauge down a few inches. This was my homemade stress reliever to stop the nylon from bending over a corner of the brass fitting.

still no fix in that........

it may be a bad wastegate solenoid, or a bad vaccum hosing, or a bad gauge, i dunno

Why are you getting 14 psi at idle?

that's a common boost gauge mistake... it's probably more like 14 in hg of vaccum at idle, which is just about right.

I hope this isn't a common problem with autometer. I was thinking about getting some.

Recheck your lines, you should be gettin about 20 inches of vacuum at idle. I had the same thing a while back, it was a pinched line that did it.

if you didnt reprogram your ecu or use a boost controller you will only hit 9psi in 1st and 2nd gears. sucks huh?
