Engine/Power - EJ20T (pre-2006 WRX and JDM) There is replacement for displacement, it is forced induction - OEM 2.0 liter turbo engines in the USDM WRX. 90-94 Legacy Turbo EJ22 turbo engines can also be discussed here.

It's quite simple, EJ20 crank spur, you bolt up the heads to the block, and start it up. There is no AVCS in the EJ20 heads. They are purely mechanical. The ECU won't even know you did something different. You will have to get some engine management, probably switch to a MAP sensor. I'm doing the same thing with n an EJ22T swap into my Porsche.

ya, see i knew it wasn't just bolt in.. cause ur changing from 2 cams to 4 cams.. and the fuel and air input would be off... so in turn his AFR would be different, also, i think the SOHC heads actually flow better(so i've heard) so he would need a fuel controller...

It has no bearing. Timing is timing if you set your timing marks correctly it'll run just fine. Where do you get this stuff from? FWIW you'll never make as much power with an SOHC as you will with a similar DOHC...
