i had a 90 chevy 454SS truck and drove it to about 140k. pleny of hp so no necessary mods, but it really beat my suspension and tranny over the years and both were replaced at about 90k. talking to other owners, this was fairly common. the engine itself was virtually unstoppable, however that much horsepower will cause a greater strain on everything else.

i think that you have to be reasonable with your expectations, as any car with over 100k will experience at least minor problems unless you drive like a granny. imo it is not the mods that will wear your car as much as how you drive with the mods. i assume suby engines will take alot of wear and tear up to and above 100k with proper maintenance. however, with added hp it is everything else that will wear sooner i.e. suspension, tranny, cooling system. etc.
