Quick help needed!

Just got my UTEC for my02 wrx. Box says "WRX 2003",do I have the wrong UTEC?

My understanding is that the 2003 UTEC is backwards compatible. I have read this in several posts. I don't think it's a problem.

The 2003 UTEC will work with your 2002 WRX.
