Thumbs up First engine mod installed! EMI adapter, but need advice/help

I did tires/wheels/suspension first then moved to the motor.

EMI adapter was installed yesterday.

It seems to do as advertised. First impression was of more torque, but I realize it's just boost coming on sooner.

I look down at my guage and at WOT in 1st it hits about .08 MPa and .09 in second. What is really cool is that it does this with very little throttle input. As advertised...just like an NA car. Very cool...

The only smoothing out of the motor I can tell is at idle. It seems 'buttery' smooth (it wasn't before).

The only thing out of the ordinary is; before the EMI and I let off the throttle I'd see about -.05 to about -.06 MPa but now after the EMI my boost guage reads a consistant -.07 to -.09 . Often it hits -.09 and seems to stay there for a while before I get back on the throttle. Response time is incredible. I barely press the gas and the needle races back up to full boost (much faster reaction than before).

My question is, is this normal? I don't know what it means to have the boost go from -.05 to -.09 when not on boost.

Next is the Joe P. MBC being installed later today. What do you think...15.5 or 16 and measured from what gear...3rd or 5th to be safer?

I think I wouldn't crank in more than an additional 3 lbs of boost, which probably means a max of 15 lbs. With an MBC, you're gonna have to closely monitor your boost gauge when the weather changes. Yes, I'd measure it in 3rd or 4th gear. Vishnu used to use a restrictor on their old Sub-Zero kit to give up to 3 more pounds of boost over stock, in conjunction with their EMI Adapter, up-pipe, and pulleys. I might be concerned about running more boost than this with just the factory turbo and EMI Adapter for fear of high exhaust gas temperatures.
