Tried posting this on IWSTI but it was moved to South East section of forums and that forum isn't too active so I want to post it here because a ton of people read this forum. Moderators, if I am wrong for posting this here, I apologize, but I'm just trying to get information from knowledgable people. Thanks
I'm in the Army and in October or November I will be reporting to the 82nd at Fort Bragg.. my question has to do with Emissions and running a TBE..
Currently I'm in Hawaii and there are no laws regarding Emissions.. I have been running a TBE for almost a year now and its great.. I am leaving in 2 months though, and my car will need a Safety Inspection when I get to Bragg..
So basically I want to know if anyone in NC is running their exhaust catless, and if so where do you get your car inspected.. Or am I gonna have to spend 250 and pick up a High Flow cat?
I'd appreciate any responses.. and if you want to tell me where to go, please Private Message me so we don't get any businesses in trouble..
Also this is a little off topic, but where in NC, SC, VA.. should I go to get on a Dyno, get a Protune once I get my Turbo and FMIC?
Thanks guys/girls

I have the same problem, I have an '05 WRX, it has a 3inch HKS hi-power TBE starting from the turbo, and all the way out(catless), an apexi intake, HKS BOV and other crap, I have no idea how to pass smog. And to make it worse, lol I live in cali, sacramento to be exact. I don't have the original parts. My TBE is wealded on, so i have to cut it to install a hi-flow cat. Dose anyone know if its possible to pass smog with a hi-flow cat on? i went to a local Subaru recycling, and they wanted $500+ to a stock exhust system.

I'm here at Ft.Bragg now and a mechanic in Fayetteville( city outside of Ft.Bragg) If you have a CEL on when you get your car inspected you will Fail. The plug up to your computer and check for codes if yo have none you pass. simple as that.
But since you are in the army when you come here you can keep your hawaii plates meaning no inspection! You just have to mail in your registration from hawaii Which you can do through email and the hawaii dmv online. and as long as you are active you will keep your hawaii tags. and you tbe. Hit me up when you get here.
