There is no significant difference between an Ecutek custom tune and a custom tune using Cobb's ProTuner. Both software packages provide pretty much the same feature set and access to very similar map sets. The main difference is the AccessPORT itself with the ability to switch maps at will and easily unmarry it from the ECU.

Like the previous poster said. There is no real difference between a ECUTEK custom tune and a Cobb ProTuner customer tune. It's all about the tuner who does the tuning. The cobb solution does allow you to do more in terms of map switching. You can have your tuner send you map tweaks via email and you will be able to flash the new maps yourself. I would go with the accessport and ProTuner at this point.
