First tune on Cobb AccessPORT Protuner by Gruppe-S (Mike)
First tune on Cobb AccessPORT Protuner by Gruppe-S (Mike)
Hey all,
I can say that I have had the honor of being the first person to be tuned by Mike (at Gruppe-S) using ProTuner. I also threw a Helix Catback on there for good measure. Thought you all might be interested in the numbers so I'll let the results speak for themselves.
My completely stock 04 STi on Gruppe-S' Mustang 4 wheel dyno.
Before:
224WHP
232WT
Sorry I don't have a baseline graph.
After tuning and with the addition of a Helix Catback:

256.8WHP
260.3WT
Mike feels that there is still some room left in the tune and plans to spend some more time on this map. I am very happy with the tune because not only was the car able to gain 32.8WHP and 28.3WT but it also drives much better. There were gains throught the rev range and the powerband actually expanded. Boost comes on much earlier and the torque is silky smooth. The most dramatic difference is probably in passing on the highway. Floor it in any gear and boost comes on almost instantanously (as long as your not lugging the engine). Best of all? No knock on crappy CA 91 gas.

Very nice.
The map that Mike produced...which of the stock Cobb maps is it closest to?
I'd like to compare your results to what I'm running.

Well just based on modifications alone, the Cobb stg 1 91 octane would be the closest. That is based just on mods though, the tuning could be completely different.
