First tune on Cobb AccessPORT Protuner by Mike

Hey all,

I can say that I have had the honor of being the first person to be tuned by Mike using ProTuner. I also threw a Helix Catback on there for good measure. Thought you all might be interested in the numbers so I'll let the results speak for themselves.

My completely stock 04 STi on Gruppe-S' Mustang 4 wheel dyno.
Before:
224WHP
232WT

Sorry I don't have a baseline graph.

After tuning and with the addition of a Helix Catback:

256.8WHP
260.3WT

Mike feels that there is still some room left in the tune and plans to spend some more time on this map. I am very happy with the tune because not only was the car able to gain 32.8WHP and 28.3WT but it also drives much better. Boost comes on much earlier and the torque is silky smooth. The most dramatic difference is probably in passing on the highway. Floor it in any gear and boost comes on almost instantanously (as long as your not lugging the engine). Best of all? No knock on crappy CA 91 gas.

Geoff

What AFR? Have the AFR chart too? Damn those are nice numbers and a nice curve for only catback and tune.

For comparisons sake, here is my evo on same dyno with more mods. heh:

Very nice numbers and curve. Good job Mike, I'm glad the ProTUNER is working out well for you.

Thanks

The title of this thread is "tuned by Mike".....?

Ed, it seems like you do a fine job tuning, but you need to handle/control yourself better.

I'm not allowed to compliment the work of another tuner and friend now? Mark, maybe its you who needs to handle/control yourself better? Just a thought.

Look @ other tuners...look @ their self control, and the repect they show for other shops by not butting in every chance they get to plug there services.

LEARN from others

Sometimes you need to stop the act, ED.

Show me exactly where I plugged any services in this thread.
FYI, I welcome Mike's comments on my own tunes (which he has made in the past as well). Honestly, I think people like you should leave it up to the shops and tuners to take care of our own business and relations. Please stop policing things that have nothing to do with you.

Thanks
