Lightbulb Cobb Tuning

Has anyone used the Cobb Access port tuning? Where you happy with it and is it reliable? Do you think it effects the reliability of the car? I have a 2002 WRX and considering buying one. Also, how easy is it to install? I've heard some guys who have had problems getting it installed. Thanks

Lately, I have been hearing nothing but good things about it. Your car will be as reliable as the tuning and it will depend on who does it for you and how. I am sure one of our AP dealers will be happy to tell you all about it.

If you're planning on just running one of Cobb's base maps, make sure to get the car checked out with the base map to make sure a/f is safe and there isn't excessive knock. Some cars run just fine on the base maps while others have problems. In the long run, I'd strongly suggest a custom tune using ProTUNER. Let me know if you have any other questions about this subject, I'd be happy to answere them.

Thanks

if you decide to go with the cobb ap, its only great if you get a tuned map by a tuner.

Make sure you are very careful and follow the directions to a "T." I fried my ECU (maybe I'm the only one) and had to get a new ECU, which was an additional $600. Be very careful!

I've had great luck with my cobb, haven't had a chance to have a custom map created by a tuner, but hopefully soon. Anyone know of any in the eastern washington area?? Or a place to share maps already created?
