How much boost can this thing safely handle? The engine number is EJ20GDW4PJ. I am guessing that the turbo is not stock. I can't tell what brand the turbo is.
That's a tough question to answer even if we do know which turbo you have because we have no way of knowing how the car was tuned (both boost and ignition advance maps). What are you using for engine management?

Does the previous owner have any records or information he can share with you?
Do acelerometers work? Anyone know a good brand if they do work? I really want to get a good estimate of the horse power, I can't find an AWD dyno here.
They work but the consumer models they sell for road use (BEL, g-tech, APEX'i, etc.) should not be used to compare numbers with real dynamometers or with different models of accelerometers. They'll give you ballpark figures and graphs but really should be used to chart relative changes when mods are made or test conditions change (weather, altitude, traction, etc.).

Sounds like you might have some pretty nice mods already done. Don't let the dealer touch your car!!!! Find someone local, and have them check it out!

Car Info: 2016 Acura RDX ... meh. Um, nice subwoofer?
tangent:

heh yeah... except I didnt laugh too hard in my case. I stupidly assumed at night that a wide puddle over a day after rains was by that time just a shallow one. The lip ended up holding the weight of the front passenger corner.... and not to well I might add. Fortunately I had wireties in the trunk.

ej20g is the closed deck if i remember
the turbo if it is stock is a vf 22 or vf23 and the intercooler is i think the largest put in any sti so yes the motor should be fine

it sounds like the dealer knows that you have limited knowledge of your car and wants to take advanage of you for it

the power the car is making now is most likely more than 300 if the boost was increased

as far as gearing if you have a RA sti the gears will be very low and even regular sti's have lower than normals gears compared to other cars

Yep the EJ20G between 94-98 are closed deck, It is more than likely running the vf23 and can more than handle 19psi as long as it's not been thrashed for all of it's previous life.

Make sure to put the highest octane gas in it you can get!!!!
Don't let the dealer **** wit it.
Find someone you can trust who knows cars and go over it and make sure all the 'wear items'(brakes and such) are good to go.
Change the oil and filter.....gas it up, and go play
