04 subies and engine management?

Talking 04 subies and engine management?

I'm thinking of going wit either ECUtek or vishnu reflashing for my engine management.....right now i'm leaning more towards ECUtek...but the question in mind is.........is ECUtek efficient wit the 04 ecu??? and i was wondering does anyone on this forum have an 04 wrx and ecutek reflashing....if you do...tell me what you think about it! it will be greatly appreciated!

Vishnu Performance uses the EcuTek reflash, as do several other tuning shops. The EcuTek reflash, when tuned properly, is pretty a much trouble-free performance gain. I have a reflash for my MY02 WRX but I don't have any first-hand knowledge of how it works on the '04 model year, though.

Here are the local tuners that can tune and reflash your '04 WRX ECU:

I-Speed.

S-Squared Motorsports.

Vishnu Performance Systems.

for the 04s what are the advantages of unichip vs ecutek? I am debating the two.

CupertinoSteve posts his Unichip vs EcuTek reflash comparo.

This is a generalization since Steve had an '02 WRX (since sold) but I don't have any reason to believe that the Unichip will show any advantage at all over a reflash.

thanks for the info, now i just need to find a good ecutek tuner in the area, I know the gas sucks in cali but you sure have a lot of tuners to choose from.
