('02 WRX) Stage 2 Boost

Stage 2 Boost

Hey guys I have 2002 running stage 2 cobb AP 91w130 with upp, dp, tbe I did a few 3rd gear pulls and the max psi i ran was 16 with 15.5 avg this was in foggy weather near beach. Just wondering if I'm underboosting wit this setup.

I dont have a boost guage, I was told by my tuner that my max boost was 16.5

I was wondering if it might be safer now since I have the AP on stage 2 to run a hallman MBC to up it to arond 17-18psi?

Not without a tune. You really don't want to go above 16psi with an MBC (or EBC) w/o a tune.

ok I guess ill have to get it tuned...ed quoted me 290 for road tune...pretty pricey...but might be worth it since I've read good reviews about him

I would add a few more mods to that thing before I pay that much for a road tune. Maybe up pipe, p&p turbo housing, p&p headers, i/c hoses. Get the most out of your tune so you don't have to do it again later if you decided to add the above items.

Just a thought.

I am pushing 16 psi on my 04. I got up and downpipe and full exhaust with the same map.
