This guy doesn't really seem to be too bratty as far as some kids are concerned. It's not as if he's telling his parents to f off for not buying him an STI. I used to get upset when I saw kids whose parents bought them Porsches or M3s. But that's just how it works. Some people have more money than others, and often for hard work. So if they want to spoil their kids, let them..they usually earned the right.

I'm 21 and own a WRX. I'm one of the lucky few to have my paren'ts buy me this when I was 20. Part of the deal was that I drive my mom's old saturn until I my sophmore year of college (when i was 20). Yes, I'm spoiled since my parent's gave me a WRX, but I agree that kids my age shouldn't have a STI. Yes, I would love one, but that's alot more money....and speed. People my age shouldn't have a car with that much power. We are just too immature to handle it, in my opinion.

first of all 6-7 G's will make the rex fast like the sti or faster, but it will never be like the real STi, spend 6-7 G's on STi, its gona blow away a wrx with 6-7 G's of mods. also tryin to make the WRX faster than an STi takes meticulous skills otherwise the motor will goto hell.

No matter what car a person gets or drives they need to drive responsibly and actually take care of the car. If its not a-hole drivers then its the people who abuse their car and never wash it, change the oil or do anything to the car other then put gas in it and drive it. Those two kinds of people annoy the hell out of me.

I only said that because you obviously are still bitter about not getting the STi that even you said you "don't deserve." I was trying to help you look on the brighter side of things where if you can't get the STi, you can atleast make it just as fast as the STi. Yeah it won't be the official STi, but what is an STi? Isn't it basically a faster version of the WRX with better performance parts put in from the factory. WOW so what.... you can do it yourself, it won't be "STi" with pretty little STi stickers everywhere, but what you want man you even said you're not getting one .. so get over it. I'm trying to keep be positive here.

Pick up the Aug. SCC. It tells you ever part that is on the Vishnu rex. From the suspension to the engine to the exterior. You could make a vishnu replica if you really wanted. As for being jealous of the other STi owners that is kinda bull**** in the respect that I would assume most STi owners bought their own cars. If you don't wanna be jealous of other STi owners go get a 75-80k a year job and buy your own. I hate to be a dick, but you seem to be rejecting any idea besides getting an STi, which seems pretty ridiculous in my eyes.

who cares what you or your parents can afford. If they are willing to buy you something, just means your lucky to have well off parents no biggie. You should take care of your car if its a wrx, sti or even a geo so you shouldnt worry about crashing it. If you feel like saving your rents some money, just get a wrx and ask them for exhaust or something like that. Do what you want, it only matters to you if your parnents are willing to pay for it.

Just because your parents are loaded doesn't mean that you should be getting free cars...
My dad makes 400k/yr+ as a DC environmental lawyer. He paid for college because he considers it important, he doesn't consider my having a fast car important, and frankly, I never would have asked him to get me one. I bought my WRX after I graduated and had a job (which, by the way, was secured through a blind monster.com resume submission and not a family connection). My job also has nothing whatsoever to do with law.
Point: Living in the shadow of your parents sucks, I know too many people in their 20s who are doing it and are miserable.
EDIT: Oh, and you can kill yourself in a WRX just as easily as in an STi. Honestly, you can also kill yourself just as easily in a SOHC Civic, bad drivers are bad drivers.
