In San Diego, about a third of the 1,600 polling places failed to open on time because the batteries of the Diebold machines ran low, says California's Shelley. So-called smart cards, which include computer chips and software, were wrongly coded in Orange and Alameda counties, resulting in voters voting on the wrong ballots, Shelley says.

Montgomery County, Maryland.
According to county election officials and other sources, all Maryland voting machines have been on "lockdown" since November 2, 2004 due to statewide machine failures including 12% of machines in Montgomery County, some of which appear to have lost votes in significant numbers.

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--California election officials on Thursday recommended banning some Diebold Election Systems voting machines and referred an investigation into the company to the attorney general for possible civil and criminal sanctions.

Miami County (Fl)was cited in the seminal Moss v. Bush election challenge case. The county was specifically cited for an early morning influx of 19,000 additional votes, mostly for Bush, after 100% of the vote had been reported.

Electronic voting machine manufacturer Diebold has announced that it will no longer do business in North Carolina because the state refused to grant an exception that would let Diebold keep its source code secret. After more voting machine blunders in 2004

Deland, Fl: in Volusia County. At 10 p.m., she called the county elections department and learned that Al Gore was leading George W. Bush 83,000 votes to 62,000. But when she checked the county's Web site for an update half an hour later, she found a startling development: Gore's count had dropped by 16,000 votes, while an obscure Socialist candidate had picked up 10,000--all because of a single precinct with only 600 voters."

O'dell quits Diebold...good riddance, scum

So only Republicans are capable of hacking diebold software? And only Republicans work for diebold? You see the problem with your reasoning? Why can't there be a Democrat on the other end counter-hacking the Republican hacks to make it factual, or beneficial to Kerry? We've had this argument here before. I do not want to have it again.

No I do not. Democrats even pushed a historic re-count in Ohio which made them look more foolish when the results were against them. The count was 2% shy but it doesn't matter. Assume all states are 2% off for that matter. The only state I can think of off hand is Iowa that could possibly be effected by a 2% margin of error in either direction. For almost all of the other states Bush won by 1% or higher margin buffer in both direction (meaning I took 2% away from Bush and added 2% to Kerry's vote for every state Bush won).

If you're going to attempt voter fraud you have to do it on a swing state like Ohio or Florida. Otherwise, it would be a bit suspicious for Bush to get Massachusets when everyone already knows it's going to vote Blue. Let's not forget that voter strategists all predicted Ohio would be the swing state in 2004 prior to the 2nd! How could a party responsible for election fraud ever predict them counting the ballots? They're busted if the ballots came up significantly short and in Kerry's favor.

I honestly think this attitude can be linked to the usual Democrat/Liberal attitude toward Republicans and Conservatives. They think we're only capable of cheating on taxes, making big money in corporations, stealing from the poor, and consuming resources like a hoover. It's stupid.

No, it's just that talking to you and others from the left is like talking to a mud fence.

First everyone from the left leeches on Bush in 2000 for Florida and because he lost the popular vote (which never matters in an election). Then Bush comes back to win the electoral vote in the Ohio hand count and even dominates the popular vote this time by a significant margin! You're NEVER happy with anything! Are you people happy with your own lives? I'm afraid i'd shoot myself from depression if I had to spend an extended period of time with you guys.

So where's the rebuttal for the points i've made in post 21?

"On Friday December 10 two certified volunteers for the Ohio Recount team assigned to Greene County were in process recording voting information from minority precincts in Greene County, and were stopped mid-count by a surprise order from Secretary of State Blackwell’s office. (blackwell was also BUsh's campaign director in Ohio) The Director Board of Elections stated that “all voter records for the state of Ohio were “locked-down,” and now they are not considered public records.”

Ohio Revised Code Title XXXV Elections, Sec. 3503.26 that requires all election records to be made available for public inspection and copying. ORC Sec. 3599.161 makes it a crime for any employee of the Board of Elections to knowingly prevent or prohibit any person from inspecting the public records filed in the office of the Board of Elections. Finally, ORC Sec. 3599.42 clearly states: “A violation of any provision of Title XXXV (35) of the Revised Code constitutes a prima facie case of election fraud within the purview of such Title.”

Blackwell's actions: Frankly illegal by Ohio statute.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Expert testimony (sworn) on Ohio voting procedures:

"I, RICHARD HAYES PHILLIPS, do swear and affirm the following:

1. I hold a Ph.D. in geomorphology from the University of Oregon. I am a professional hydrologist and am well versed in standard techniques of statistical analysis, with special expertise in spotting anomalous data. A copy of my curriculum vita is attached to this Affidavit as Exhibit A.

2. I have analyzed unofficial precinct level results from the November 2, 2004 general election in nine Ohio counties, including Cuyahoga, Franklin, Warren, Butler, Clermont, Miami, Montgomery, Hamilton, and Lucas. In have compared these results with those from the November 7, 2000 general election where such data is available. I have examined the unofficial and official results for the November 2, 2004 election, county by county. I have examined, in Franklin County, data on the number of voting machines deployed in each precinct. I have also examined United States census data for 2000 and 2003.

3. There are numerous examples of incorrect presidential vote tallies in certain precincts in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County. These irregularities include at least 16 precincts where votes intended to be cast for Kerry were shifted to other candidates’ columns, and at least 30 precincts with inexplicably low voter turnout, including 7.10%, 13.05%, 19.60%, 21.01%, 21.80%, 24.72%, 28.83%, 28.97%, and 29.25%, and seven entire wards where voter turnout was reportedly below 50%, even as low as 39.35%. Kerry won Cleveland with 83.27% of the vote to 15.88% for Bush. If voter turnout was really 60% of registered voters, as seems likely based upon turnout in other major cities of Ohio, rather than 49.89% as reported, Kerry’s margin of victory in Cleveland has been wrongly reduced by 22,000 votes.

4. The systematic withholding of voting machines from predominantly Democratic wards in Columbus, many of them with high black populations, severely restricted voter turnout in these wards and cost John Kerry 17,000 votes. I have meticulously compared election results with the number of registered voters per voting machine for each precinct in Columbus, and for each ward in Franklin County. In Columbus, the median Bush precinct had a 60.56% turnout, while the median Kerry precinct had only a 50.78% turnout. County wide, the 73 wards with fewer than 300 registered voters per machine had a 62.33% turnout; 58 were in the suburbs, and 54 were won by Bush. The 73 wards with 300 or more registered voters per machine had a 51.99% turnout; 59 were in Columbus, and 58 were won by Kerry. In addition, there were 68 machines not provided to anyone, according to data provided by the Board of Elections."

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Democrats DID NOT push for recounts in Ohio. It was the Green and Libertarian parties who did so.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is not a conspiracy theory....it is a conspiracy. You'll note that the two pivotal states (ohio and florida) in BUsh's 2000 and 2004 wins had secretaries of state (blackwell and harris) who also chaired Bush's election campaign for those states. BOTH STATES had widespread voting irregularities, and widespread evidence of disenfranchisement of historically democratic areas.

and you have failed to address the fact that EVERY MEMBER of DIEBOLD's BOD contributed solely to republican entities and campaigns.

Does the lack of self control go into the same category as fraud, cheating on taxes, and making good money?

You can post what you think is evidence (what I think are assumptions) all day long. What you and the other whiners continuously fail to provide is PROOF. You and the rest of you schmucks have already wasted five years trying to pull a rabbit out of your asses for 2000 and a year and a half trying to do the same for 2004! ****ing do it already then!
