wow, by the time I read this thread it had turned into a crap fest. As I say in all these threads, you guys need to get lives!!! Granted STiYLIN gets kinda pissy and says some rude **** at time, but that is the internet for you. All in all, you guys need to lay off. Nothing said in this thread deserves this.

Zoeb especially....come on man, its like you follow STiYLIN around looking for a fight. I was considering buying over $1000 worth of wheels and other stuff from you this weekend, but you attutide sucks so bad I will NEVER buy a damned thing from you....or advise any of my friends to do so.

Now to stay on topic. It sucks to see Derek go. He is very knowledgable in the subie world, and he is one of the main (if only) reasons I went to GST. I hope things work out for you man.


As a customer who has spend a nice chunk of change, I am also curious as to why he was let go. Why does asking this make me a "bad" person? It is true there may be more approiate ways to ask, but this is an internet message board. It is for communication, advertisement, and evaluation of possible vendors....just to name a few. Besides, all they have to do is not answer.

It's not surprising really. This is typical BAIC drama of the week. I too have played a part in it in the past so I can't act innocent. There is a mob mentality here and the same few always start it. Many have admitted to me and if you don't see it you are seriously in need of a reality check.

Point is, this was a thank you thread to Derek that got out of hand because Zoeb and company thought it was a good chance to make me look bad. Hey what else can gain you more popularity in the BAIC then talking smack about GST :rollseyes:.

I know a lot of people don't understand it so they will just resort to calling me names (which I guarantee that not one of you would do it to my face).

The fact is any modified Suby or Evo owner in Humboldt county went to Gruppe-S (to see Mike) and then followed him to GST). Some of us learned everything we know about imports from D and he guided us through modding our cars smartly so we don't mess the motor up the first week. He ALWAYS preached tunning and Mike to be the only one. We all listened.

So I don't know why it is so hard for some of you to believe we are left wondering WTF when Derek tells us he is done and moving across the country. It's kind of a shock. I don't know what happened. That is the typer of person Derek is. He just said he was let go.

Well with talking with Mike who owns the company yesterday he felt the same way. He understands people are curious and is ok with that. He doesn't think I am calling him out by wanting to know what is going on. He said it is always a hard situation letting someone go and I sympathize. He is a stand up **** and I will continue to drop mad cash his way and make Greg fell very uncomfortable with my long gazes and sexual propositions.

So Mike, thank you for making me feel better about the whole situation, I really appreciate it. See you on the 29th with a "fist full of dollars" (good Eastwood flick I suggest you see ).

The thing that burns me here is I am a nice guy in person. I am sure anyone that has met me on the board and spent 5 minutes talking to me would say the same. I may smell a little like burning trees but you get used to that after the first 5 minutes or so. I talk a little freely when online like most of us do but I don't go call any of you out or put you down for expressing your thoughts and situations.
