Derek former GM of GST

I just wanted to say thank you for all the advice you gave me on my build project. As a project manager for my car you went above and beyond in both customer service and product knowledge.

I know I speak for many people when I say you will be missed big time. Not only has this taken the wind out of my personal project, I know from speaking with others they feel the same.

You were the bridge between the tunning/modifcation crew and the customer. To help both sides understand what a customer wanted from his car. This was an invaluable service imo and is what every other tuning shop I have dealt with was lacking. It was the one main gripe I had when I went to Gruppe-S 2 years ago to be tuned. But it was your reassurance that brought me back and kept me as a customer.

I don't know any of the details that led to this and I do not want to speculate as it is none of my business. What I want to make clear is you are a huge value to the Subaru community and you were the reason why I chose to do business where I did and the reason I bought a Suby in the first place.

I know you moved your whole life to move to the bay area to give this a go and worked 7 days a week supporting and promoting the company, leaving a lucrative, secure I.T. job to pursue your dream. Even when I didn't want to you were able with your gift of gab to talk me into coming into the shop to spend more dough. I give you so much props for trying to follow your dream D!

Every person that made the trip to Hayward from Humboldt was because of you and you alone. I just can't believe it and seriously I am upset.

I wish the best to everyone involved but I think the BAIC community needs to know what happened.

If Derek wants to share personal details that is up to him. I just wanted to thank him for all his help and tell him he will be missed immensely! I knew others that he helped would like that same opportunity.

i liked how the downpipe pancaked to 1 inch, I am going to trade mark that design. I call it the velocity stack downpipe. I'll become rich!!! LOL what was wrong with the wastegate? it fell off once when I was driving down the street(one of the bolts backed itself out)... The thing just loves to cause problems

Thumbs up

Derek is awesome, he is the only shop guy I ever called that didn't make me feel like an idiot for asking noob questions. He spent more time than necessary helping me get a game plan for me car, even helping me find parts. +1 for Derek!
