I know it's probably none of our business but I know I am not the only one curious as to what happened. Why would such a seemingly invaluable and key position be eliminated? Maybe someone from GST will make an announcement as I do not understand as I am sure many others do not either.

Maybe it was finances, Maybe there is more to it than you know?

If he was let go then it was probably a business decision

I'm not saying Derek wasn't cool or anything, he's a great guy but that's GST's decision and if they don't really want to share it then why are you prying?

It's not your company, why don't you call them and ask them if you are so curious?

Why would they announce it?

We don't announce anything when we let employees go....

Why are you answering for GST? Maybe I do know excatly what happened so that makes me more informed than you. I never said it was my company chunky, so lighten up and stop being so defensive. This is one of those times where you need to be staff and mind your own business.

I however am a long time customer that is wondering what happened like a lot of other GST customers.

Maybe you know what happened?

I dunno...this leads me to believe you don't, and that's why I said it...

What do you mean be staff and mind my own business?

I'm not being defensive..I'm saying you should call them and ask them instead of this post because the 5 people I've talked to about your post say you're a f*cking moron for starting this thread

Someone (3:25:26 PM): https://www.i-club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=165248

Someone (3:25:31 PM): i swear styiylin is so dumb

Someone (4:35:44 PM): good job calling out stilyin

Someone (4:33:31 PM): ****ing jerimah is on dereks dick

Someone (4:33:57 PM): its like let that **** go, the man aint dead

Someone (4:37:58 PM): that guy is a ****ing ****

Someone (4:44:58 PM): stilyin is such a retard

Now I know what you're going to say...."Do you really think I care about what people think of me?"

The answer is no, I'm sure you don't, but that doesn't make this post any better though

Like someone said...let it go, he's not dead.

and why are you replying on behalf of gst as well? seriously, do you think that everyone on the ****ing BAIC needs to know the full details? hell no. it's not like the shop exploded or anything. just let them deal with it the way they want to deal with it, instead of putting a company that is well respect around these parts on blast.

All I started this thread was to thank Derek and for others to do the same. It is hard losing your job w/o notice on something you worked very hard for.

I might be out of line here (again haha) but I know the back story. Derek had a great job and a nice house. He quit his job, sold his house, and moved 300 miles away to pursue his dream, one he was very good at. Say I am on his dick but the truth is he is very knowledgeable at what he does. Then all of the sudden he is let go. I have sympathy for him and wanted to cheer him up by seeing how many people he has helped and affected. I hope you can understand that Zoeb our differences aside.

I understand it was GST's decision and I like every person @ GST and think they are a good company and I still have an appt the 29th for work o my car and to harass Greg. That apt stands.

I thought since he played such a huge role in so many customers even going to GST from my area and he was the sole advisor to many on what they were going to do with their suby or evo. It was a huge shock to find out I no longer have this value added service.

In all honesty Zoeb, you have a big fan club also if you know what I mean.

It's true I might be all of those things. It's not about popularity to me. If I am right trying to help/defend 1 friend and everyone hates me for it so be it. I like to think of myself as a nice guy and a good friend that would lend a hand to anyone truly in need. I can admit I do not always come across well online and my true feelings can be misconstrued. I guess what I am saying is I don't always go about things the best way but I honestly mean well. Can you say the same Zoeb?

I have a lot of respect for Mike Warfield and I think he knows that. I would not call him out on his decision but I was rather letting him know it was a shock and a value added service is now gone from the shop I chose to call "my tuner". I never expected and answer and I would talk to him about it in person if I felt compelled.

Btw I see you dodging the swear filter at least a few times

I never replied on behalf of GST, ever. I am seriously sorry if I offended anyone and that was not my intention. "I am taking it back like prochmonkies"

Yes I can...If you started this thread about an employee leaving GB Motorsports I wouldn't respond because I could give a damn.

I mean well when responding, Its obviously something that GST did for their own reasons and I'm saying what I'm saying to you because I really think you should let it be.

You are just putting GST on the spot by doing what you are doing.

Its like calling out GST, and that's what I don't think is cool

If you are cool with the others that work there then go IM or PM 1 of them to get your answer...no need to call them out on a thread asking why they fired and employee.

As far as myself...Trust me, I can say with confidence that I've done a ton for the Subaru community and all jokes aside people can vouch for that.

In regards to "mind your own buisness".

We are not all experts and I needed the help. That's why I think I have at least a right to some sort of explanation as Derek was my help @ GST. If they are my shop moving forward who is the person that will help me and others in my position with this specific aspect (project management)? Granted iclub is probably not the place although there are at least 10-20 others like me that D was mentoring. So at least everyone would know at once.

this got out of hand quickly. its all for the best and that is all I will say. GST will continue to do fine without me and at this point I would always recommend ppl to go there.

funny thing is I am sitting at another shop right now getting new tires put on and a guy with an evo rolled up. I shot the crap with him for awhile and talked about turbo kits. needless to say, I told him to go to GST to get everything done.
