that sounds pretty close but dont be fooled, launching hard still is awful for your clutch and tranny. the way your talking the clutch will be more your isssue than the tranny but thats the way you would want it anyway. i wonder if anyone has used one of those RPS Carbon-Carbon Clutches thats the high powered RWD cars use? i hear the more you slip them the better they like it and ive heard stories of 500+hp cars putting alot of miles on them with almost no wear.

I don't think that wheel spin is such a good idea. Wheel spin means that you maxed out the stress on the tranny and is putting the extra stress to the tires. You should launch in a way so that your clutch get most of the stress.

No, actually it means you exceeded the grip of your tires...whether or not the wheels spin will be a function of the tires, tire temperature, ambient temperature, road surface, etc...

A drag launch, if done properly, is hard on your clutch and quite possibly your tires and gears. If done improperly, it will quickly break gears.
