I know you can put the fuse in to make most Imprezas FWD, but is there any way you could ever make it RWD. Like the Cusco JGTC IMpreza. I do realize that this is a completly different tranny set up but I was just wondering if it was possible?
yea man... ive always had that in mind. i wany my wrx rwd so i can do "real" drifts. i know the b22's had a full rwd option. im sure with some custom differentials someone can make almost full rwd. 20/80 or even full time 50/50 lock would be nice.

All you have to do is get a selded center diff and not attach the front halfshafts. There's nothing else you can do for it really- but why would you want to when good drift cars are so cheap?

Hehe. The only problem with not installing your front 'half-shafts' would be the large oil leak that would occur because the holes for those shafts are now wide open. Bad. Very bad.
As far as the fuse is concerned, I believe, from what I have read, is that is for towing purposes only. It disengages the rear drive shaft from the tranny, allowing the car to be towed via the front wheels instead of getting a low-boy to do it, which can be a bit more expensive.

There was no RWD option on 22B, it did 35:65 just like any other typeRA though.
Oil won't leak from taking out the axles. Anyone who has done tranny swap knows, hehe. However, to protect the teeth on the output shaft, you wanna disassemble the joints and keep the joints on the car. Take out the shaft part only.
The FWD fuse work only on automatic Subaru.
The bad thing about doing RWD is that the rear axles and diff will be abused.
There have been reports of rear axle failures on RWDed Impreza
