Subaru RWD Concept Car

Well I'll be damned if this makes it way into a production vehicle.

Looks like an STI/WRX hybrid with a bunch of **** on it.

I highly doubt it will EVER hit the street RWD as a Subaru. Subaru is set apart by one thing... all AWD. It might hit the market as a team toyota/subaru effort but will be a Toyota. Subaru's version will likely be AWD and probably come in NA and with the WRX mill. I don't see the STI mill making it in to that car. They don't want competition for the STI. It's already not selling that well.

It looks like a rear end sedan quarterpanel hatch front door sedan and complete sti front end. I hink subaru is screwing with the spies. I think subaru will bring out something closer to toyotas ft86 with something small to make it subaru. Maybe a grill or hood scoop

I don't know about you guys but every time I tell people what I drive, they always say "Subaru's AWD is awesome". Subaru is blowing my mind!

FYI - most of the blocky panels are fake... it's common practice for auto manufacturers to add false bits to test cars in case they get photographed

Subaru needs to bring back the XT/Alcyone nameplate!

With all seriousness, they should release this coupe in naturally-aspirated form (so as not to cannibalize WRX and STI sales) with AWD plus 6-speed manual and revive the Alcyone name!!!

looks like subaru said "lets take all of our left over parts and try to create a new car but since it will fail we'll call it an FT86" lol

this.

They usually slap a bunch of other body panels over the frame to disguise it, you guys remember when they were testing the EVO X and they taped all the old EVO 9 hood/bumpers/fenders on it? Totaly different car underneath tho

Yup thats true. But in terms on lights and stuff like that, It looks like they are using the GR subaru Head lamps and sedan tail lights. I guess replacement will be common? lol

Ditto. This is the same mule that was spotted a couple years ago. Looks like the hood changed, otherwise it is the same thing we saw last time.
