RWD conversion

I know that several people have done this to their wrx. I think it is time for me to do the same.

What parts do I need for the conversion?

Any suggestions on which center diff to use?
Do I need to upgrade axles & driveshafts to handle about 260 HP going to the rear wheels?
How will the car handle?

Who has done this to their rex? How you like it?

I stopped pushing my wrx to the limit.

When I was a bit younger and a bit unwise, I'd drive my impreza to its limits. The AWD worked great to keep the traction, and it was an ease to regain traction if needed.

I now use my impreza as a daily driver. Maybe allowing my rex to have less rotating mass will give it a little better gas mileage. And losing traction in the rear tires, at lower speeds, gives the car extra fun factor points.

And the center diff sleeves that most company has are reversible within hours.

henry, you're going the RWD route also? PM me with the info. I wouldn't mind having a RWD impreza.

DRIFT CENTER DIFF/ TYPE B
Only by exchanging stock center diff for this Drift Center Diff, 4WD will change to FR. Easy to return to 4WD as well (just exchange Drift Center Diff for stock). For GD, GC8 (applied model F-G) and BH 5MT center diff without DCCD.

I found this at japanparts.com

Hey every1.. I am converting my LIberty to RWD. Will doing what Paul@dbtuned mentioned make it RWD and if so will the front diff and axles need to be removed or is this just for reducing weight?
thanks
