replacing the clutch
hey all. as you can see from the subject i'm a car noobie.
but i was wondering with all the talk about how the wrx's clutch is so weak or fragile or whatever ("like glass")... could you replace the clutch "system" or such with one that isn't so weak and possibly better? if so how much would it cost to get a decent one?
thanks

I don't think its the clutch thats the problem but the weak transmission that is used for the M/T cars. Adding a clutch kit that completely resists slipping or has too much clamping force might send too much shock to your gears and end up breaking something. However you can baby the transmission with very easy starts and no speed shifting.
