alot of ppl have problem with redline oil you can do a serach on it. i personally use motul gear 300 and love it. i did notice some different after i use motul.

i replaced my mobile 1 with the royal purple with the intention of getting rid of the bearing noise in my trans. Well, the noise did not go away but i can shift to1st from 2nd at 20mph now!

If you use Redline in the gearbox, be sure to use 75w90 and NOT 75w90NS. The NS is for open differentials, while the Subaru AWD gearbox contains a limited slip center diff. Plus, the friction modifiers help to protect the synchros and make shifting easier.

Yeah, the NS is recommended for open differentials and mechanical limited slips.

Yeah, that's pretty thick stuff for a non-performance engine. I wouldn't go any higher than 10w40 in that engine, and that's only in the summer. The recommended viscosity is 10w30 unless you are in very cold or hot climates.
