Diff fluid question? will 75w90ns redline work?
will it work in a 4EAT wrx front and rear diffs or should i just stick with the mobil1 75w90?

For a limited slip, you want 75W90NS. Regular 75W90 Is ok for the open diffs. I am not sure if your rear is open or LS, but I know the front is open.

You've got that backwards - Redline 75W90 has the friction modifiers for limited slip diffs, 75W90NS doesn't.

You are correct, I have teh suck.

From Redline's website-

75W90 GEAR OIL - recommended for most street driven and racing differentials. Excellent performance in conventional and limited-slip units. Also for limited-slip manual transaxles which require a 90 WT oil. Contains limited-slip friction modifiers.

75W90NS - recommended for manual transmissions and non-limited-slip transaxles that recommend 90 WT oils. Can be used in racing limited-slip units to increase lockup and reduce wheel spin. Street-driven rear-wheel drive cars should use regular Red Line 75W90 or 80W140.

I'm using it in my gearbox and differential. 2002 WRX US Spec.

I use the redline in my trany and rear diff. The only thing I notice is that when it's cold, it's hard to downshift to first and sometimes second. Also, a slightly harder shift while cold. Once it warms up it's great!!
