Redline oil good for synchro's?
I know this subject has been discussed a million times, but its regard to something specific not in general.
I was wondering what are peoples experience with the Redline oil with regard to the synchro's? Does it allow the synchro's to work faster? And which of the Redline oils is best for the synchro's?
I have changed my gearbox oil about 4 times in my FWD Legacy non-turbo, and i have honestly found the Motul Gear 300 to be the best, but i changed that out for the dino oil. Its Castrol semi-synthetic, it felt good at first(about 3 months ago), but now it feels so notchy, like i can feel every gear go in, sometimes it feels assif theres no oil in the tranny, like u can feel the metal on the metal, and when i go to change to some gears(3rd and 4th), i hear a soft metal tap before it goes into that gear, i dunno what it is.
Thanks.

Dude, just go back to the Motul. I can speak from experience that it is better than the Redline 75w90ns. If you have to try the Redline, go with the shockproof and let us know if it is better than the Gear 300. I would try it myself but am pretty happy with the Motul.

ya well the shockproof lightweight/heavyweight are the only ones that were sold at the auto store i found. but i see no point in getting shockproof as i am after an oil to make the synchro's work faster, and not so much gear protection as my car is NA.
