that robo shift thing looks goofier than hell. the only thing i can figure is that you have to remove the stock ball and socket joint, and then somehow bolt the thing in using the bracket, which i'm guessing slips over the cylinder in the middle of the thing. that would mean you'd have linkage bolt going through the eye in the end (far right in the photo).
i'd put it back on eBay and go buy a Kartboy...

Thanks for all the replies, I got the Cobb Tuning Drivetrain stg 1 kit, which included duel adjustable short shifter, bushing, and tranny mount. I should of taken some pix during the install, cuz the throws are awsome, I'm talk'n 4" between gears; I think thats about over 60% if not more. I also picked this one because I road race, and wanted a taller shifter to reduce the distance from the steering wheel; rather that the average Drag racer who likes it lower. And also the ablility to make an adjustment on how short you want the throws. I made some modifications of my own....
During the install I realized that if I cut out an inch out of the top left corner where the shaft is coming from the tranny to attach to the shifter, I could get a much shorter throw.
I've driven a WRX w/a Kartboy, and it fells good; most of these companies that make short shifter tend to make the shifter shorter to make you think its shorter, and just reduce the throw by a little. But in most cases you could just hold your shifter at a lower point on a factory shifter. JMO
