I don't know if I want the short throw shifter - mine is fine and I would probably need a new boot and be unable to use my arm-rest extension (which I have - goes on top of the arm-rest).

But I wonder if the Cobb Tuning hardened shifter bushings and upgraded transmission mount will improve the feel and performance of the original Subaru shifter?

 

yes, they absolutly will, a freind of mind did this on his RS, took away all the slop

 

Ditto, i installed just the cobb bushing and noticed alittle better over all feel
