Rattle after new clutch?

I've searched the forum for this, but haven't turned up anything yet.

The car just recently had the Clutch shudder work done. Now when going into 1st or 2nd with the clutch depressed there is a pretty noticeable 'rattle' noise. Has anyone else had this problem? How much work was it to get the dealer to fix it?

Thanks,
Jason

make sure they have the pitching stopper adjusted right or if they forgot to tighten it.its on the top of trans.never had this after many that i have done.take it back and make sure they used the correct parts.the new bulletin has the parts in one kit now.although it would be hard to mis-match parts.do you feel the rattle thru the clutch pedal or shifter.

More like hearing the rattle. The clutch itself has been working great since the installation

my guess is that there is something left loose or simple like another part rubbing on something.leaned on the a/c line, heat shield repositioned ect.

Is it a rattle or a metallic buzzing?

I had the metallic buzzing AFTER the dealer replaced my juddering/chattering/shuddering clutch. They forgot to tighten a heat shield.

5K miles on the replacement clutch and guess what? Clutch chatter is back. It's faint and only happens when it's cold, but that's how the original started to go.

I'm tired of this Subaru clutch bull****, and the chronic squeeky windows are driving me mad. I'm thinking of going back to Honda/Acura.

Lose the AWD and torque for some piece of mind? Maybe not.

it could also be a rebound spring in the clutch disk either worn out or broke free.

The @#$!#$! service guy put a random bolt back in the heat shield. It wouldn't tighten. Found a few other things (ground strap) loose while doing some maint.

Got rid of the buz. Not trusting the service tech anymore.
