Shift kit vs. valve body job

I'm beefing up my 4EAT, thinking of sending the valve body to level ten for the upgrade others have done, but I have a local shop that says they can do a shift kit for my Subie, what are the differences? What are the positives and negatives of each, what do you all recommend in this regard.

They (the local company) said a company called TransGo, but I'm not sure of the differences. Right now I'm leaning towards levelten, but my friend Sean at Rallitek is going to give me an estimate on Saturday for a valve body job upgrade

Here is what Levelten told me they do:

Dear Enthusiast,

We put more line presure and the upgrade the clamping power, the car will shift A LOT firmer and no longer havea lazy shift. As far the the acutal specs I can’t tell you, but the valve body get’s recalibrated.

thanks,

John
