Strange noise/rattle in first gear after oil change
Hi Everyone,
I purchased my 2012 WRX back in Aug 2014 and have been always lurking around I-club since but this is my first post. This looks like a great community of car enthusiasts so I was hoping that I could get some knowledge/help.
I've been hearing a strange noise in 1st gear when I take off at a complete stop. Please take a look at the video below and at the 5 second mark, you can really hear it.
I first started to notice the noise a day after I got an oil change at a local oil change shop near my work in Palo Alto. This was my first time at the shop but I saw plenty of great reviews on yelp so I figured what the heck, why not. The oil that was used was Castrol Edge full synthetic. I took it back to the shop during my lunch and they tightened every bolt and inspected it and tapped around to make sure that nothing was loose. I drove off and later that night on my drive back home, I noticed the sound again.
The next day I took the plastic skid plate off and back on to make sure that it wasn't the cause of the noise but I am hearing the noise once again.
Has anyone else ever experienced this or does anyone have an idea of what might be the cause of this noise?
I appreciate the help in advanced.

I just hope that it's something as simple as tightening a bolt and not a major engine/transmission issue.

To be honest, I haven't had the time to get under the car and look at the shifter bushings. Hopefully I will be able to this weekend. I'll keep everyone updated.

Checked the front and rear shifter bushings and checked my SS... the car still rattles. It's frustrating to not be able to determine what the sound is.
Back to the drawing board.
