I prefer them.

The current problem with my transmission now is the shifting from 1st to 2nd, over about 2.5k revs, i can not put it straight into second, i just put pressure on the shifter and when the rev drop to about 2k it goes into 2nd.
uhhh.. Use your clutch.

No seriously, that's what the synchros in your car are designed to do: match transmission speed to engine speed. But while it's speeding up the tranny, it's slowing down the engine.
